Carvia exists because too many car reviews read like they were written by the manufacturer's press office. We test cars the way an owner would live with them, and we write about what we actually found.
Every review on this site is based on at least a week of real driving — commuting, errands, at least one full charge or tank cycle, and a proper look at how the car handles daily inconveniences like tight parking and cold mornings, not just a curated press-launch route chosen to flatter the car.
Carvia is supported by display advertising and an optional reader membership. We don't accept payment from manufacturers in exchange for coverage, and sponsored content — if we ever run any — will always be clearly labelled as such.
We score every review across five criteria: real-world range or fuel economy against the claimed figure, ride and handling, interior quality and practicality, technology usability, and value relative to direct competitors. We report the gap between claimed and observed figures rather than only publishing the manufacturer's numbers.
